Hour of Presence of The Sacred Heart of Jesus
Jesus addressed to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, a Visitation nun of Paray-le-Monial in France. “Behold this Heart which has so loved men so much that it has spared nothing even to exhausting and consuming itself in testimony of this love; and in return I receive from the greater number, only ingratitude, by their irreverence and sacrileges, and by the coldness and contempt towards the Sacrament of My Love…” Hear how you can bring comfort, adoration and reparation to The Sacred Heart Of Jesus” If so….
We invite you to the 1st meeting of the Hour of Presence of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on December 3rd, 2017, 3 P.M, Monastery of the Visitation located at 2055 Ridgedale Drive, Snellville, GA 30078
Learn how you can become The Associates of the Guard of Honor by choosing one particular hour a day ,called, The Hour of Guard, during which, with out ,changing any of their ordinary occupations, they think more frequently of Our Lord, offering Him their thoughts, words, actions and sufferings, but above all their hearts and their love. During these hours they are particularly attentive to Jesus present in the tabernacle. It is not necessary to spend the Hour of Guard in prayer, nor in church.
This first meeting will be at 3PM as an introduction to the Hour of Presence of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (formerly called the Guard of Honor of the Sacred Heart). The members will meet every first Sunday monthly. The speaker will be Deacon Michael Mobley of St. Stephen the Martyr Church. Deacon Mobley has been a member of the Guard of Honor for many years, and has a great love for the Sacred Heart.
The meeting begins in the Monastery parlor with prayer, followed by an overview of the Devotion to the Sacred Heart, and the Hour of Presence, its origins, what it entails, and how to join, having your name inscribed on the Dial of Presence, at the hour you choose, as well as the Dial of Mercy for someone you wish to pray for ; question and answer period follows, ending with the Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Then in the Monastery Chapel, follows a Holy Hour with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, rosary, and sharing with the Sisters in the singing of the Divine Office of Evening Prayer, concluding with Benediction.
